Review: Revelle

I was so excited for this one. It was so pretty with the copy that I got from Owlcrate. But sadly the execution of this one was not for me. I found the story stagnate and boring for the most part. It just felt so underwhelming that I ended up DNFing it around 50 pages.

Review: House of Earth and Blood
House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. MaasMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
I tried so hard and even went back to this three times. And the verdict is a full on DNF. I loved LOVED her TOG and ACOTAR but this one was just so bogged down by filler that I was bored out of my mind!! The other issue that I had was that it seems that Maas thought she needed to swear every other page. And although I really don't care about the F-Word etc. It just seemed like she was trying to hard to make this separate from her ya stories.
Overall, I really felt like this one was a flop at least for me. It felt like the author was just trying way to hard to make it good and in doing that she made it kind of suck.
