ABOUT THIS BOOK:
You'd think being abducted by aliens would be the worst thing that could happen to me. And you'd be wrong. Because now, the aliens are having ship trouble, and they've left their cargo of human women - including me - on an ice planet.

And the only native inhabitant I've met? He's big, horned, blue, and really, really has a thing for me...

MY REVIEW:

Is it sad to say that I really enjoyed this one?  It was solid 4 Star read for me and although it might take me a few.  I might use these as in-between stories when I just need something different to read.  I enjoyed Georgie's story with her alien man and am kind of invested in reading the rest of them, after chatting with book club and finding out that each book just isnt another HEA with alien smut.  But they each have an overall plot going in.  So that kind of changed my mind from what I was thinking yesterday.

This one was not as good as the first book. I wish I could say that this one was amazing but it just wasn't. And this is nothing like Children of Blood and Bone seriously I hate when books say they are fans of this and that when they are nothing alike. I loved the characters but the story just didn't work for me.

Review: Becoming Crone

Becoming Crone Becoming Crone by Lydia M. Hawke
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This character driven story was one that was very surprising. You don't find many Indi published stories that are this good. The characters in this one were fabulous and I think fantasy lovers will enjoy this one. The older characters were a breath of fresh air as well. Since we usually get people in their teens or twenties. So this was kind of nice. Overall, I will be excited to continue this series.

Seriously this is one of those books that I wonder how it even got published. It was so bad and the writing was not done well. The story itself was just hate on hate and I did not get through all of it at all. I do not recommend this one in the slightest.

I love alternative history but this one sadly just did't work out. I wished that this massive prologue would have been done differently to give us the history. The entire start of this book felt like major info-dumping. The history itself just didn't work out for me either. I didn't feel like it was a good fit for a story at least for me. I wished that something else would have been done. I guess for me it just wasn't what I was looking for. I didn't care about the story or the characters at all.

Review: Mind Games

Mind Games Mind Games by Nora Roberts
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

"Mind Games" vividly captures the life of Thea in the Appalachian Mountains. Over 15 years, we witness her journey from the aftermath of her parents' murder, navigating through her friendships, family ties, and personal growth. Thea's resilience shines as she battles the psychological torment of the killer who shattered her world. Through her story, we feel her grief, joy, sorrow, and strength.

Nora Roberts masterfully weaves a narrative rich in love, loss, and personal development, chronicling Thea's transformation from a troubled teenager to a hopeful young woman. As always, Roberts delivers a compelling and emotionally resonant tale.
