This I would say is a must read for anyone within the education field. Racism is such a situation in our time period that even with all the acceptance we have today. We still have so much ideology and denying children the education they deserve. This is a hard hitting book that all much read.

This was a harrowing look at one family's life and their struggles. It was beautifully written and hard to put down. I fell in love with this family and what they went through. Family and friends and life are within these pages so much that I won't soon forget it.
