This one was dark and creepy and man it should have come out in October for spooky season!! Because it would have been perfect for it. This book came to life on the page and Schwartz did such a great job freaking me out with this one. I loved the characters and the setting and just everything that happened. I was going to give this one 4 stars but going through this review I changed it to 5 stars because this one is so perfect!! Everyone should read this one!! Put it on your PreOrder list asap!

This one was super disappointing. I don't think this had enough world building for a series. I would have liked more information about the world at large with the magic and gods. I felt that it was very light compared to others I've read. I think I might check out book two to see if it gets any better. But as this is concerned it could have been better.

Review: That Dark Infinity

Unfortunately, this is one of those stories that sounded amazing but the execution just wasn't there. This one read as something that was for younger readers vs. the 19 year old that the main character is. I feel like the writing needed to be elevated and the story made for older readers. At times it felt very childish.

I think this one would be fine to read with or without reading book one. I actually read these backwards as I didn't realize that this was a book two. It does fill in some back gaps but its nothing to much that you wouldn't be able to know what is going on with this book. I really joyed the feel of this book. It was fast and interesting.

This was an amazing conclusion to The Age of Darkness trilogy. I read every page as fast as I could but also not wanting it to end. I loved this world and am sad to see it go. However, Pool did a wonderful job bringing it all together until the very last page.
