Review: Revolution Empire: Book One: History Never Retreats

Revolution Empire: Book One: History Never Retreats Revolution Empire: Book One: History Never Retreats by Rob Travalino
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

For me this book was weird but in a good way. I fell head first into the story and although at times I felt that I was lost. I think this one would make a really good movie or tv show. This one would be one for those who love history and alternative history regardless of your age.

Review: Summons to Berlin: Nazi Theft and A Daughter's Quest for Justice

Summons to Berlin: Nazi Theft and A Daughter's Quest for Justice Summons to Berlin: Nazi Theft and A Daughter's Quest for Justice by Joanne Intrator
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

For some reason WWII holds a special spot in my heart. I watch movies and documentaries of it all the time. The events that these people went through and survived is beyond incredible and devastating. This book of an account of this woman's father and his survival was breathtaking and inspiring. I could not put it down once I picked it up.

Review: Secrets Never Die

Secrets Never Die Secrets Never Die by Vincent Ralph
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Just one of those books that was ok but I don't think I would reread this one. The story was great but the characters were kind of flat. They felt one dimensional and the story didn't feel like anything new.

Review: Delicate Condition

Delicate Condition Delicate Condition by Danielle Valentine
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I love this authors young adult books. So when this one came up to read I jumped on that train so fast I didn't even pack a bag. However, once I started reading the book everything that I loved about her other stories just weren't there. For me this story was bland and somewhat confusing and well boring for the most part. I miss the dark and exciting tales she did for The Merciless and The Haunted. Where was this in this book I have no idea.

Review: To Sleep in a Sea of Stars

To Sleep in a Sea of Stars To Sleep in a Sea of Stars by Christopher Paolini
My rating: 1 of 5 stars

Unfortunately, this book just didn't work out. I loved the sample but the full on novel just fell way flat. I didn't care about the characters or the story. And with over 800 pages this one felt like a drag. I wished that this would have been around 500 pages or so. It could have been sped up which would have added a lot more drama and fear, etc.
