This is one of those take it or leave it reads for me. It was kind of interesting but also kind of flat. I did finish it but I think I could have DNFed it and just moved on. It wasn't the greatest book about magic out there. But if you enjoy flowers and pacts, and danger (light) then check this one out.

The stakes and danger get hot in this follow up to
Belle Morte. I have to say that I really liked this one better than book one. It was much faster paced and had a better flow. The characters are all back and I just really enjoyed where we went and how everything happened. I need more of this world soon.

Review: When Stars Come Out

When Stars Come Out by Scarlett St. Clair

I didn't think that I was going to really enjoy this one. After trying her other books and loving book one of King of Battle and Blood and then hating book two. I wasn't holding out much hope for this one. But man was it good!! I was drawn in and really wanting to know what happens. I can not wait for book two. The dual POV worked well in this story although I kind of wonder how the story would have gone if we would have been left in the dark. But all in all I really loved it.
