Review: XOXO

XOXO XOXO by Axie Oh
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

For me this book made no sense at all. It was very speedy but the story still needs to be able to make sense and feel real.

Review: Butcher & Blackbird

Butcher & Blackbird Butcher & Blackbird by Brynne Weaver
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Will this book is not for the faint of heart, this was a riveting read from beginning to end. If you cannot stomach, some gruesome anime done by the serial killers, then I suggest you to opt out of this book. However, this book had me rooting for both characters from beginning to end the side characters also play a major part without being overwhelming to the story, I found myself, not wanting the story to end well it is a slow burn. I found that the time gaps did not leave us missing information which also helped with the pacing of the book which I quite enjoyed. This book had me laughing out loud at a few points. The spice in itself was dark and sexy, I seen quality true dark spice written so well in such a long time. Thank you Brynne Weaver for such an amazing book. I cannot wait for Leather and Lark.

Review: Broken Bonds

Broken Bonds Broken Bonds by J. Bree
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was a fabulous story that I devoured. And I am already on book 4 now. Its so hit and miss when it comes to indie title but this one was a total win!! I loved the feel of the story and the magic that this world has. It was easy to follow and a very quick read. Totally recommend this one!!

Note: This one is closer to high ya to low NA but as a warning since I have already read book two and three and almost all of book four. I wanted to make sure you knew as a reader that the rest of books get very spicy and on the line of being vulgar with some of the sex that goes on. Book 4 is the worse at crossing that line for me.

Review: Blood on the Tide

Blood on the Tide Blood on the Tide by Katee Robert
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This one was kind of weird since we've only seen Lizzie as a villain and now she is supposed to be the one we root for? That was really weird to read and the romance in this one felt forced. I felt like this book was like its fine but not like worth it. I guess if you really want to know what is going on in this world to try it out. But seriously I just felt like it was a let down.

Review: Till There Was You

Till There Was You Till There Was You by Lindsay Hameroff
My rating: 0 of 5 stars

This book was a very quick spicy romance that is right in the start of that age group for New Adult. It was good and worth reading but I have to say that it wasn't anything to write home about. I did enjoy the banter and demographics with the romance and the BFF. But parts of it felt more like it was young adult. Overall, I could see readers enjoying this one this summer. Something light and fluffy and nothing too deep.

This book was so good, I was hooked from the start. The relationship between the characters, the mysteries presented throughout, the maze of connections, and above all, the TWIST! Holy twister, I didn't see all of that coming.

Review: King of Wrath

King of Wrath King of Wrath by Ana Huang
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ok so I was all in with this one. Then the story really started to get going and I just wanted to slap Vivian in the face. I mean seriously girl you don't need your family if they are going to force you to marry someone that A. you don't love and B. who is a total jerk. I put family above everything in my home but not to the point where the relationship becomes toxic. Vivian is one of the my most hated characters I have read this year and seriously I understand that I know they end up together because romance. But seriously I wish that this book would have been enough for me to keep reading so I could find out if she ever told her family off and did her own thing.

Review: Love You, Mean It

Love You, Mean It Love You, Mean It by Jilly Gagnon
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was my first Jilly Gagnon book and I am now a FAN.
Love You, Mean It was an adorable enemies to lovers, fake dating, family drama read and I was hooked from the very beginning.
This book was fantastic and I found myself thinking “this is me” multiple times when it came to Ellie’s personality and her “weird theatre kid” energy.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the variety of characters and personalities in it. I hope Jilly Gagnon makes it into a series!
